It’s graduation time which also means party time. I heard this story where a mother wanting to be a “pal” to her daughter decided to drink with her daughter to celebrate her high school graduation. Most States in our country have a law which says alcohol may not be served to anyone under the age of 21. The reason for that is that the brain is not yet fully formed and alcohol does damage the brain. In some States it is a felony to serve alcohol to those under 21 which means that the adult serving the liquor could be arrested. For those of you mothers who have a drinking problem protect your children. Tell them how awful addiction is – that you don’t enjoy slurring your words, being sorry the next day for what you had said, for passing out, for embarrassing your children. Help them not to drink.
