What many who are suffering with alcoholism want to know is how many of the addicts stay sober after having been released from a hospital or a recovery center. Guess what? There are no recent statistics. But what is known is that like any disease constant care is necessary. It is known that those who continue to go to Alcoholics Anonymous, who tell their physician that they cannot take just any pain killer, cannot tolerate medicines with remote alcohol, do succeed in staying sober and having a good life. If you are in treatment right now pay attention to what you have to continue to do once you are out of treatment. Hang in there. You can do it.
